Signs that someone is being gaslighted

  1. Their self-esteem is much lower since they’ve been around the gaslighter                                                            
  2. Their feelings are trivialised.
  3. They become anxious and depressed 
  4. They are constantly guilt-tripped 
  5. They’re frequently let down by the gaslighter
  6. The gaslighter insists they know them better than they know themselves
  7. They’re frequently lied to 
  8. Their fears are used against them 
  9. They are isolated from others 
  10. They constantly question and doubt themselves

How Do You Know You’re SELF Gaslighting?

Recognizing self gaslighting can be hard because it’s a mindset that you may consider normal. But if you find yourself performing the following very frequently, then its a problem, something that you need to deal with. It’s also known as Internalized gaslighting

You MINIMISE Your Thoughts and Feelings: “It’s not that bad. I’m overreacting.”
You DOUBT Yourself: I’ve never been the smartest person in the room. It’s probably a dumb idea.”
You Doubt Your MEMORY and VOICE: Do you constantly doubt whether your recollections are true?
You Always Find a Way to BLAME YOURSELF: “There must be something I’m doing wrong to cause this.”
